The Kori Leigh Show | Sobriety & Recovery | Addiction | Faith & Hope
Welcome to The Kori Leigh Show.
I’m Kori — a recovering alcoholic, 9 years sober, a mom, a woman who has walked through addiction, divorce, grief, mental health battles, and the kind of darkness that either takes you out… or forges you.
I know what rock bottom feels like.
I know anxiety that grips your chest.
I know the obsession to escape.
I know what it’s like to burn your own life down and still wake up the next day.
And I also know recovery.
I know surrender.
I know what happens when desperation meets God.
Sobriety didn’t give me a perfect life, but it gave me a real one. One built on faith, spiritual discipline, personal responsibility, and the daily choice to suit up and show up, even when it’s uncomfortable.
This podcast is for the person who’s done pretending.
The ones who knows something has to change.
The ones who is tired of reacting from emotion and wants to start responding from conviction.
Here, we talk about:
-
Recovery and sobriety without romanticizing the pain
-
Faith without performance or bypassing
-
Resilience, boundaries, and self-respect
-
What it actually takes to weather the storm and come out rebuilt
You’ll hear raw conversations, unhinged truths, hard-won lessons, and stories from people who have been to the depths and chose to rise anyway.
God meets us in the mess.
The storm passes.
And who you become in the storm determines everything.
If you’re willing to do the work — welcome.
As we say in recovery:
Find the similarities, not the differences.
That’s how we heal.

Trusting the Unknown: Following God One Step at a Time
In this episode, I’m opening up about what it really feels like to trust God in the middle of uncertainty—in life, in business, in recovery… in everything.
I share pieces of my own story and how lately, it’s felt a little like playing a game of chess. Every move comes with questions, resistance, and some real moments of “God, are you sure this is the way?”
But here’s what I’m learning:God doesn’t always show up in big, dramatic moments.Sometimes He speaks through the quiet. The mundane. The stillness we usually try to avoid.
This conversation is an invitation to:♟ Let go of needing to know every next step💛 Be open to hearing God in the ordinary🙏 Learn to live by faith, not by fear
I hope this episode brings you a deep breath of peace—and the permission to walk forward, even when the path ahead feels unclear.

In this episode of The Kori Leigh Show podcast, I’m diving into something that’s been on my heart lately: letting it be enough. You know those seasons when you're full of energy, ideas, and everything feels like summer—bright, buzzing, and alive? And then there are other times that feel more like a long, slow winter—where showing up at all feels like a big ask.
I talk about how our needs—physically, emotionally, spiritually—shift depending on the season we’re in, and why it’s okay (and important!) to honor that.
I’m sharing a few personal stories around grief, uncertainty, and the quiet growth that happens when life feels anything but easy. This is your gentle reminder that you don’t have to be “on” all the time. You don’t have to do more to be worthy.
You’re allowed to slow down. You’re allowed to feel what you feel. And you’re definitely allowed to let where you are be enough.

This episode is raw, unfiltered, and straight from my heart... recorded from my car on a rainy day in Revelstoke (because sometimes life hands you a moment, and you just have to hit record).
I’m reflecting on the last eight years—where I’ve been, what I’ve walked through, and how recovery, faith, and surrender to God’s plan have completely changed me. From the heartbreak of my first marriage ending to rebuilding a life that’s rooted in something so much deeper, this is a look into what it means to keep going when the path isn’t clear.
In this episode, I talk about: 🌧️ Sitting in the uncertainty and learning to be okay there 🙏 What surrendering to God’s will actually looks like 🛤️ Taking the next indicated step, even when it’s hard 💛 The small daily choices that keep me grounded in recovery and faith
If you’re in a season of change, uncertainty, or just need a reminder that you’re not alone in the messy middle—this one’s for you.

This one’s straight from the heart.
I recorded this just after a quiet morning prayer, feeling the weight (and weird peace) that comes with endings. Not just the little ones—but the big, soul-shaking ones.
In this episode of The Kori Leigh Show, I’m sharing some of my own story—sobriety, grief, heartbreak, and what it was like to walk through the”beginning of the end” for me. None of it was easy. But all of it… led me somewhere deeper.
In this episode, I talk about: 🕊️ How recovery cracked me open and brought me back to life ♟️ The idea that we’re all part of what I call “God’s quantum game of chess” 💔 The messy, sacred dance with grief 🙏 What it means to surrender—not in defeat, but in trust 🌅 Finding peace in the ordinary moments, even when life feels anything but
If you’re in a season where something is ending—or has already ended—I hope this reminds you that it’s not the end of you. There’s more on the other side. There’s always more.

I used to think prayer was… well, asking for what I wanted. 🙃
I’d throw up requests to the universe (or God) like a cosmic wishlist—hoping for quick fixes, big breakthroughs, and answers that aligned perfectly with my plan. Spoiler alert: That’s not how it works. 😅
In this episode, I’m sharing my journey of completely rethinking prayer—how I went from skeptical and disillusioned to experiencing something way deeper than I ever expected. I’ll talk about:
✨ How my prayers shifted from selfish demands to real surrender ✨ Why embracing the mundane (yes, even the messy parts) is actually the key to connection ✨ My take on what I call “dog sh*t spirituality” 🐕💩—and why it’s more powerful than you think ✨ The magic that happens when we stop trying to control everything and actually live life on life’s terms
If you’ve ever felt disconnected from prayer or struggled with spirituality, this one’s for you. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it might just change the way you see things.

Eight years. That’s how long I’ve been sober. And let me tell you—getting well, recovering from addiction, and building a healthier life? It costs you something. In this episode of The Kori Leigh Show, I’m opening up about the real price of healing—the mindset shifts, the sacrifices, and the deep, sometimes painful process of letting go of toxic habits, relationships, and substances.
I’ll share the personal milestones that shaped my journey, the grief and isolation I had to navigate, and how my relationship with God became my anchor through it all. Sobriety isn’t just about quitting drinking—it’s about doing the hard work every single day to create a life that actually feels good.
Yes, it’s hard. Yes, it requires discipline, commitment, and a willingness to face things most people run from. But here’s the truth—it’s worth it. And if you’re on this path or thinking about it, I want you to know that you’re not alone.
And if this episode speaks to you, send me a message—I’d love to hear your story. 💛

In this episode of The Kori Leigh Show podcast, I’m taking you behind the scenes of a nerve-wracking moment—preparing to speak in a women’s prison. I’ll be honest, the nerves were real. But instead of letting fear and overthinking take over, I leaned into the present, trusted God, and reminded myself that saying yes to the scary stuff is where real growth happens.
I’m sharing how I’ve worked through imposter syndrome in the past (like that time I spoke at a nutrition conference and felt totally out of place), and how faith has led me to unexpected, incredible opportunities. If you’ve ever hesitated to step outside your comfort zone, this one’s for you. Let’s talk about letting go of fear, trusting the process, and showing up—even when it feels terrifying.

Sobriety looks different for everyone, but what happens when the choice isn’t just about health—it’s about survival?
In this episode, I’m breaking down the difference between choosing sobriety for wellness versus needing it because of alcoholism. I’ll share my own journey, including the struggles, the realizations, and the surprising freedom that came with accepting the label of "alcoholic." We’ll talk about the power of acceptance, the role of spiritual programs, and why admitting the truth—hard as it may be—can be the key to real healing. If you’ve ever wondered where you stand or how to support someone on this path, this one’s for you. Let’s dive in. 🎧✨

Hey friends, welcome back to The Kori Leigh Show, this episode is a powerful one. I’m sitting down with Michelle Smith, and she’s opening up about her journey through addiction, recovery, and breaking generational cycles. Michelle grew up in what looked like a picture-perfect home—think Leave it to Beaver—but behind the scenes, she was navigating life with a high-functioning alcoholic father. She shares how that experience shaped her, leading to her own struggles with alcohol, motherhood, and grief.
We talk about hitting rock bottom, the moment she knew something had to change, and how surrendering to the recovery process completely transformed her life. Now, as a sobriety coach, she’s dedicated to helping others find freedom from addiction, and she’s got big dreams of creating a treatment program for women and children. This conversation is raw, real, and full of hope.
If you’ve ever struggled with addiction, love someone who has, or just want to hear an inspiring story of resilience and healing, this one’s for you. Tune in and let us know what resonates with you.
