24. HOT TAKE: Sobriety is NOT Boring

In this episode of The Kori Leigh Show podcast, I share my reflections on traveling in Japan and how life's unpredictability often prevented me from sticking to my initial plans, a profound lesson I've learned in recovery. I discuss the importance of living 'life on life's terms' and the need to seek God's will over my own, which means going with the flow rather than insisting on my own way. I also delve into my experiences with recovery meetings, where I find a strong sense of God's presence and a supportive community. 

Most importantly, I go into the misconception that sobriety is boring by highlighting how it is actually filled with joy, creativity, and meaningful moments. I emphasize that living a sober life guided by God's will brings real joy and contentment—gifts that addiction could never offer.
